Summary
A rosewood and gilt metal-mounted bureau plat, mid-19th century, probably English, in Louis XV style. Of serpentine outline, the top inset with a gilt-tooled brown leather skiver and with gilt brass edge moulding above three frieze drawers. With foliate and putto-cast mounts to the top of the legs.

Date of introduction to Saltram not recorded but at Saltram by 1951 and accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of full payment of Death Duty from the Executors of Edmund Robert Parker (1877 - 1951), 4th Earl of Morley.
