Silver cover for a tin-glazed earthenware tea canister or caddy, of square section, the sides are decorated in fluted molding and raised oval wreaths, painted in overglaze enamels with figures of Chinese women, the remainder of the canister with formally painted flowers. The whole in a palette of red, green, black and gilding; Delft, The Netherlands, c. 1700 - 1730
