Summary
One of four saucers from a set of Paris cups and saucers, hard paste porcelain, decorated with a running border pattern of flowers and foliage in enamels and gilding. Some pieces are marked with a capial 'A' in underglaze blue, one cup is marked with crossed swords in underglaze blue - probably a replacement. Rue Thiroux factory, 1775 - 1800
Provenance
At Saltram by 1951 and accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of full payment of Death Duty from the Executors of Edmund Robert Parker (1877-1951), 4th Earl of Morley
