Summary
Tin glazed earthenware hen tureen. The bird is sitting on her newly hatched chicks. The feathers are picked out in iron, red, blue, yellow, green and brown.

Date of acquisition not recorded; accepted with more of the important contents associated with Saltram House in part payment of death duties by HM Treasury from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877 – 1951) and transferred to the National Trust in 1957.
