Summary
Teapot from a part cabaret tea service, hard paste porcelain, cylindrical body with distinct shoulder, short upright neck with recess for cover, ear shaped handle, long S-shaped spout from lower body, Ansbach, Germany, ca 1790-1810; pink ground with large oval roundel in reserve at centre of body painted in polychrome enamel with a bird on a branch, bands of gilt stars above and below a wavy line to the foot, shoulder and rim, gilt foliate design to shoulder and neck, the handle and spout also in gilt.

At Saltram by 1951 and accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of full payment of Death Duty from the Executors of Edmund Robert Parker (1877-1951), 4th Earl of Morley
