Summary
An early 19th century cantonese jug enamelled on copper with peonies, prunus, chrysanthemums and other flowers and leafage and butterflies, in brilliant polychrome against a dark blue background. A centre reserve depicts three Chinese figure subjects against a yellow and pink background. It has a moulded handle simulating bamboo enamelled in green and black.
