Oil painting on canvas, Mary Anne Vevers, Mrs Alban Thomas Jones Gwynne (1781-1837) by Mather Brown (Boston 1761 – Twickenham 1831), circa 1810. A half-length portrait of a young woman, the Reverend Alban Thomas Gwynne's daughter in law, seated, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white empire-line dress with long sleeves and small frilled collar, her Paisley shawl is draped on the arm of her chair. Her dark hair is parted in the centre. Interior setting.
