Summary
A wood, laminate and glass wall-mounted dressing/writing cabinet, British, designed by Patrick Gwynne, circa 1930s, of rectangular form with wood exterior frame, the front with a pair of white laminate cupboard doors, above a fall-front white laminate cupboard door which can be utilized as a writing surface, the interior fitted with a sliding mirror panel behind which is an arrangement of pigeon holes and compartments, the top fitted with uplighters. Originally covered with fabric but later replaced with laminate.
Provenance
The Homewood and some of its contents were given to the National Trust by Patrick Gwynne in 1999.
