Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Frederick Augustus Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol and Bishop of Derry (1730-1803) (after Hugh Douglas Hamilton), attributed to John Comerford (Kilkenny 1770 – Dublin 1832). c.1785. Circular. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the right, right profile, wearing a clerical suit and white neckcloth. Blue eyes, grey balding hair, florid complexion. Pale blue sky background. Label on back 'John Augustus, Lord Hervey (1757-1796), eldest son of F.W., 3rd Earl of Bristol, Bishop of Derry by Cosway'.
