Print, engraving, Lady Elizabeth Christiana Hervey, Duchess of Devonshire (Lady Elizabeth Foster) (1759-1824) (after John Downman) by Caroline Watson (London 1760 - Pimlico 1814). A copy of portrait in Dressing Room at Ickworth House. She looks to the left, face in profile, and wears a dress with large neck frill and coloured waist sash with bow. Her hair is long with ringlets and she wears a high hat with frills and train. 'Engraved by Miss Caroline Watson, engraver to Her Majesty, after original drawing by Mr Downman for the scenery at Richmond House Theatre', 'London, Published by R. Cribb, 288 Holborn, Jan 1 1797'. Oval format within rectangular frame.
