Summary
Sweetmeat dish. In the form of a shell, surmounting 2 sea-horses. Raised on triangular base, canted corners. Shell with wavy rim, ridged body, painted in enamel colours. Sea-horses white, black and green patches, puce scales lined in gilt. Base painted with gilt scrolls. Doccia. c.1750-60.
