Summary
Tempera painting on vellum, Saint George and the Dragon, Ethiopian School, 19th century. St George killing the dragon, some Armenian/ Ge'ez (?) writing between horse and dragon, mounted on wooden ends. The lady whom he saves is tied to a tree on the right and represents Ethiopia in distress. Pay tax to dragon of a first born.
