An eight day Tavern clock in black lacquer case by Oliver Smith, London, c.1750. Single train, 5 pillar movement with anchor escapement. Shield shape black lacquered tavern clock dial with gilt Roman numerals and Arabic five minute figures, signed by maker. Brass heart hands. Black Chinese lacquered case with short trunk below having break arch door with similar lacquer work.
