Summary
Pen and watercolour on paper, A Chinese Garden by Anthony Devis (Preston 1729 – Albury House, Surrey 1816). A pencil, pen and ink drawn watercolour of a Chinese garden with two figures under a willow tree. A ewer and bowls rest on rock in the foreground, a blue garden temple on left and distant pargodas. Card mount, blue wash borders; glazed in plain wood frame.
