Summary
A classically shaped silver samovar surmounted by a finial, with geometric handles to either side and a tap to the front, set on a square plinth raised on four ball feet, with the Hussey crest to the socle and finial and with a coat of arms to the vase. Marked where the socle joins the main vase body, London 1774 and with the maker's mark IY over OI for James Young and Orlando Jackson, the maker's mark and the lion stamp also appearing on the base of the finial.
