A label to the reverse reads 'Squire Gallery / Old (ampersand) Modern Drawings (ampersand) Paintings / 12 Baker Street / Portman Square W1 / Welbeck 2372 / J. Baverstock Knight (1785 - 1859) / Long Bredy Parsonage and Church, Dorset.' An additional pencil mark reads 'Mr Hussey' and a second pencil mark reads '3695 Long Bredy J. Baverstock Knight'.
