Summary
One of a pair of guglets (bottles or bottle-shaped vases), hard paste porcelain, with a globular body, elongated neck and smaller globular section half way along the neck, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, c. 1640, decorated in underglaze blue in 'transitional' style with figures in various settings (possibly narrative scenes) around the body and with stylised tulip- or carnation-type flowers around the neck.
