Summary
Pair of guglets (bottles or bottle-shaped vases), hard paste porcelain, with globular bodies, elongated necks and smaller globular sections half way along the necks, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, c. 1640, decorated in underglaze blue in 'transitional' style with figures in various settings (possibly narrative scenes) around the bodies and with stylised tulip- or carnation-type flowers around the necks.
