Silver plated wine coolers are an elegant means of keeping wine bottles cool in the dining room. They are often part of a large set of silverware which proclaims the wealth of the host – in this case Sir Thomas and Lady Hesketh, whose coat of arms is engraved on each of the four wine coolers.
Summary
One of a set of four Sheffield plate wine coolers with lobed campana-shaped bodies engraved on one side with the arms of Sir Thomas Dalrymple Hesketh, 3rd Bt. (1777-1842) and his wife Sophia, nee Hinde, shell decorated side handles, gadrooned rims. Liner missing. .
