Summary
Carved oak aumbry or close cupboard, 16th century, with a pair of two-panel doors on either side of a fixed-panel section which has had its upper panel converted into a small third door; narrow fixed-panel sections at either end; the upper panels of the two-panel doors carved with naïve figures and animals, the lower with double S scrolls; the small door and remaining panels with Renaissance romayne heads and strange beasts; all doors fitted with shaped iron strap hinges and escutcheons, wooden knobs and turn-buttons; a middle shelf cut out in both of the larger cupboards.
