Denon Family; given to George, 5th Earl of Essex in Rome, 1816; given to Richard Ford and by descent to Mrs Richard Ford; acquired c.1945 by Sir Marcus Cheke and by descent to Constance Elizabeth Cheke by whom gifted to Brinsley Ford (c.1960) and by descent to Augustine Ford. Accepted under the Cultural Gifts Scheme by HM Government from Augustine Ford and allocated to the National Trust for Osterley, 2023.
