Summary
A pair of gilt metal and Derbyshire feldspar candelabra by Matthew Boulton, the oviform bodies of Blue John, mounted with chased winged female caryatids in ormolu, foliage scroll branches issuing from their heads joined by plain curved handles to the lower parts of the bodies, and with further S-scrolls supporting candle nozzles and wax pans for two lights each, on square ormolu bases with gadroned rims and square white marble platforms. Pierced for electric light fittings now removed.
