Summary
Stove Grate. Pierced and engraved tutuag and paktong, an alloy of zinc nickel and copper. Four tapering standards each cast with an oval paterae and surmounted with gadrooned and engraved urn finials are connected by a perforated apron of anthemion set between bellflower with a central plaque of scrolling acanthus leaves ending in flower heads. The upper sections of the two central standards are connected by two horizontal 'baluster' form bars. The solid elements of the grate are decorated with flutings, scrollings guilloche and beading. The grate has a plain inner structure of cast iron. The fire basket formed at each side by two splayed cast-iron cheeks.
