Summary
Pedestal library table, oak and pine, veneered with rosewood, satinwood and other woods; ormolu mounts; green baize top; leather castors, oak carcase and drawers. Each pedestal has a door at the front and back. Above each door is a drawer. Each door is decorated with an emblem in harewood surrounded by a wreath; these represent respectively, architecture, sculpture, painting and music. The frieze, including the drawers is decorated with Vitruvian scroll in marquetry with a narrow band of ebony above.
