Summary
Silver coffee pot with a plaited handle and torch-shaped finial. Hallmarked London, 1765 with maker's mark for Sebastian (I) and James Crespell. Engraved on the front of the pot (very rubbed) is a rococo cartouche of scrolls and shellwork within which is a shield showing the arms of Lloyd (gules a Saracen's head erased at the neck proper wreathed about temples sable and argent) quartering another (not identified) with an escutcheon of pretence with the arms of Pryce (gules a lion rampant regardant or) quartering another (not identified) for Bell Lloyd (1729-93) of Pontriffith, Flintshire, Wales and his wife Anne (m.1758) daughter and heiress of Edward Pryce of Bodfach, Montgomeryshire, Wales.
