Summary
Print etching on paper, Les Agréments de l'Eté (The Pleasures of Summer), etched by William Woollett (fl,1743-1805) after Jean Baptiste-Pillement (1735-1785) and published by Charles Leviez, Paris and London, 1760. Two seated women and a child by a river are brought gifts of flowers and caged birds by two men. The print originally former part of a series of four prints of the seasons, but has been trimmed into an oval. A copy of the complete print , including title and publishing details is held by the British Museum, BM 1854,1020.1659. NT 769801 and 769803 are two other parts of the set.
