Summary
Sculpture, marble, The Cupid and Psyche Sarcophagus, Roman AD. c.150-200. A strigil fluted sarcophagus with a group of Eros and Psyche in the central aedicula and a Victory carrying a garland at either corner. The back panel depicts a carved image of the bust of a man whose hairstyle and clothing date in style to the mid 16th century implying that the sarcophagus is from a later date.
