A square stone with a canted front on which is mounted a plaque that reads "This stone originally marked Rudyard Kipling's grave in Westminster Abbey. It was later replaced by a larger tombstone in Poets Corner."
Full description
Kipling's ashes were buried in Poet's Corner, Westminster Abbey at noon on the 23rd January 1936. In 1966 the original gravestone was replaced with the present Belgian marble stone. The original was presented to Bateman's.
