Medal awarded to John Lockwood Kipling (1837-1911) as officer in charge of the Punjab Court at the Calcutta International Exhibition. The Calcutta Exhibition, held between 4 December 1883 and 10 March 1884, was India's first international exhibition. John Lockwood Kipling was a member of the general committee and was secretary and officer in charge of the Punjab Court.
