Summary
The cream canvas bag from a Scout uniform believed to have belonged to William Straw Jnr. Also includes shirt, hat, garters, water bottle, badge, one black and one white ribbon and a length of thread. Cream canvas bag used as part of a child's Scout uniform. The bag is semi-circular in shape with a front flap closure with a button hole and single metal button closure. Inside is a patch pocket at the back making two openings. There is a further opening to the back which is again held closed with a single metal button. There is a single adjustable strap with metal buckle and inside a white cotton label with 'Straw' written in black ink matching that on the shirt and water bottle. Under this is a makers label, white cotton with red embroidered writing; 'SPORTS OUTFITTER Albert ward BOLTON'.
