Summary
The hat from a Scout uniform believed to have belonged to William Straw Jnr. Child's Scout hat in a sand / faded khaki with a light brown leather external hat band with small side buckle and matching chin strap with adjustable buckles. Internal light brown stripped hand stitched hat band with white cotton label with 'Straw' handwritten in black ink. Next to this a stuck on paper label with a oblong internal double line border split in half horizontally by a single line under which is printed '61/2', the corners of the shape are cut off generating an eight sided shape. Handwritten in pencil on the opposite side on the band 'Straw' in pencil. The set includes shirt with badge, one set of black ribbons and safety pin, one set of white ribbons with safety pin and a length of thread in the top left pocket, navy shorts, stripped belt with twist buckle and navy neckerchief, hat, water bottle, bag and a pair of sock garters.
