Summary

The safety pin holding a black ribbon pinned to the proper left epaulette of a shirt from a Scout uniform believed to have belonged to William Straw Jnr. A silver coloured metal safety pin through a top sewn loop of black cotton ribbon. The set includes shirt with badge, one set of black ribbons and safety pin, one set of white ribbons with safety pin and a length of thread in the top left pocket, navy shorts, stripped belt with twist buckle and navy neckerchief, hat, water bottle, bag and a pair of sock garters.

Provenance

Straw collection bequeathed to the National Trust on the death in 1990 of William Straw.
