Summary
Tall cylindrical metal tin of 'PARKINSON'S Old Fashioned Butter Drops', white label with red and black detail. Wording stamped onto lid, 'Parkinsons Doncaster estd 1817'. A white paper label is wrapped all the way around the tin with a solid single line border and inner dashed line in red. At the front printed in black and red; 'PARKINSON'S EST. 1817. 1 LB. NET. OLD FASHIONED BUTTER DROPS NONE GENUINE UNLESS SIGNED S.Parkinson SOLE MAKERS: S.PARKINSON & SON (DONCASTER) LTD. ROYAL BUTTERSCOTCH WORKS DONCASTER COPYRIGHT-Entered at Stationers' Hall.'. To the right of the of the text a drawing of a man dressed as a 'Beefeater'. The back of the label is the same as the front and has 'ESTABLISHED FOR ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY YEARS' printed vertically between the two panels. Underneath the back printed panel a series of copyrigthts for other manufacturing countries. Along the top starting halfway along the front panel 'TO OPEN - INSERT PENNY UNDER FLANGE AND LEVER GRADUALLY ROUND LID'.
