Summary

Rectangular navy cardboard box, containing square edged glass bottle of 'Ronuk furniture cream' with paper label and metal screw top. Cream, dark and light blue design box with flap style lid and base. The front has a cream scroll on a pale blue back ground at the top with the majority taken with a dark blue block with pale blue line border, and cream edge. in the centre of the dark blue a pale blue square with the royal crest and dark blue line border leaving a pale blue edge. Above the crest is written 'SANITARY POLISH MANUFACTURERS' and beneath 'By Appointment to H.M. THE KING.'. In cream above the box 'RONUK' and beneath 'FURNITURE CREAM. The bottom of the design has become obscured by dark discolouration which runs up the edges to the top border. The front and back have the same design with the two sides carrying the same text, scroll pattern at the top with a light blue text box top and bottom and dark blue in the centre section, the discolouration is on all four corners. The text on the sides reads; 'FOR CLEANSING AND POLISHING ALL POLISHED AND VARNISHED SURFACS HAS THE SAME AGREEABLE SMELL AND ANTISEPTIC PROPERTIES AS RONUK FLOOR POLISH Manufactured by ROUNUK LTD.' The bottom of the box is marked and discoloured with the top in pale blue with dark blue inner border leaving cream then light blue edge with text 'OPEN HERE' at top and 'THIS WAY UP' at the bottom. The box has a corrugated cardboard lining support.
