Summary
Brown wooden box and lid with insert tray used as sewing box. Box has metal decoration around keyhole at front, broken metal hinges at back. Lid has brown velvet cushioned top containing four rusty pins and one needle, mirror on inside of lid, insert tray badly damaged, a number of broken pieces of wood containing many sewing items including scrap material, sewing thread, darning wool, tape, sewing and darning needles, pins, thimbles, scissors, small screwdriver, numerous used buttons of various sizes and materials eg. plastic, metal, cotton covered. Also contains small metal OXO tins containing small metal items eg. hook and eyes, press studs and buttons. Other items include black and coral beads, plastic collar studs, hat pin and red sealing wax.
