Pastel on paper, Thomas Hibbert (1745 - 1819) by Hugh Douglas Hamilton (1739/40-1808). Half-length portrait of a seated man, turned to the right, with powdered hair and wearing a blue coat. The pastel is in the Blathwayt collection and is after the oil painting in the possession of ............ Thomas Hibbert was the great-uncle of Mary Sarah Hibbert Oates, the second wife of the Rev.
