Pen and ink with grey wash and red chalk, heightened with white drawing on paper, Aeneas at the Entrance to the Underworld by John Michael Rysbrack (Antwerp 1694 – London 1770). As well as Aeneas being confronted by huge Geryon, there appear in the scene the following: the Nemean Lion, the Hydra, the Stymphalian Birds, Prometheus, Cerberus and a Gorgon and Centaurs in the background.
