Large rectangular silver salver with rams, masks and swags bearing the arms of Richard Hoare impaling Acland. Hallmarked John Carter 1772. Purchased December 1983 with assistance from NA-CF from H.R. Jessop Ltd, 2/3 Pickering Place, St James' Street, London.
Provenance
Richard Hoare, by descent at Stourhead until 1947. Purchased by the National Trust with the help of a grant from the Art Fund, 1985.
