Print, engraving, Chicken House, Hampstead by James Peller Malcolm (Philadelphia 1767 – London 1815). The Chicken House was a Jacobean building. King James I and the Duke of Buckingham stayed a night here in 1619. The visit was commemorated by a remarkable ornamental window. The house was demolished in 1880.
