Provenance
Presumably acquired by Sir Richard Colt Hoare, 2nd Bt. (1758-1838); thence by descent; given to the National Trust with the house, gardens, and rest of the contents of Stourhead by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th & last Bt. (1865-1947) in 1946.
