Watercolour and bodycolour (partly varnished), on two sheets of paper joined vertically, The Arch of Constantine by Abraham Louis Ducros (Yverdon, Switzerland 1748 – Lausanne 1810), circa 1786. Colt Hoare described this drawing (1822) as 'one of the most laborious as well as one of the most happy efforts that were ever made in watercolours'.
