Summary
Figure, hard paste biscuit porcelain, Minerva, the base inscribed 'Remez', probably by Locré & Russinger's Factory (active 1772 -1820), circa 1800. Based on a Sèvres model 'Minerve sous les traits de Marie-Antoinette', sculpted by Josse-François-Joseph Le Riche (Mons 1741 - Mons 1812) in 1778. From a classical mythology series, modelled as a standing woman dressed in a classical robe and helmet and holding a shield. This item was stolen on 26 April 2004.
