Summary
Bouquetière, from a pair of covered bouquetières (flower holders), earthenware, Wedgwood, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, circa 1785-1810. Modelled as an oval woven basket in cream with salmon pink slip decoration in the reserves. Base impressed 'Wedgwood.'
Provenance
Listed in the 'Inventory of Furniture, Bedding, Carpets, China, Plate, Pictures, Curios, and other effects on the premises of the mansion,' January 1908, in the Library, as ‘Pair of cream and white Wedgwood tulip vases and covers.' Bequeathed by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947), 1946.
