Summary
A pair of covered ice pails, soft paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded, Derby Porcelain Factories, Derby, England, circa 1790. The bodies with shell-form handles, the lids with open knobs, decorated with rose buds, a purple neoclassical border and blue foliate swags and gilt borders. Base marked in puce with crowned 'D' and crossed batons.
