Summary
Coffee pot cover, hard paste porcelain with gilding, Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur (K.P.M.), Berlin, Germany, 1795, from a tea service comprising: a covered coffee pot, a covered sugar bowl, three covered cups, three saucers, and an octagonal dish. Of 'Antikglatt' shape, decorated with gilt bands. Unmarked. The decoration is not common for Berlin wares, which were usually sold as blank or unpainted porcelain, and it is possible that it was decorated outside the factory, possibly in England.
