Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Colonel Francis Luttrell (1792 - 1862) by W. Barrett (fl.1955), signed and dated W Barrett 1855 and inscribed (on reverse): Painted and presented to Lieut. Col. Luttrell by Ensign W Barrett 26 Feby. 1855. A half-length portrait, wearing uniform of the Grenadier Guards, Colonel. Third son of John Luttrell and Mary Drewe; he married his cousin Emma Louisa Drewe. Their son George Luttrell succeeded to Dunster in 1867.

Previously on loan, 1975; gift of Lt -Col Geoffrey Walter Fownes Luttrell (1919 – 2007) to the National Trust in 1981.
