Oil painting on canvas, John Fownes Luttrell (1787 - 1857) by John King (Dartmouth 1788 - Dartmouth 1847), signed and dated, John King Pinxt 1822. A nearly three-quarter-length portrait of the eldest son of John Luttrell (1752 - 1816) and Mary Drewe (d. 1829), seated slightly right, wearing a dark brown coat, yellow waistcoat, buff breeches and white cravat, holding a letter in his right hand.

Previously on loan, 1975; gift of Lt -Col Geoffrey Walter Fownes Luttrell (1919 – 2007) to the National Trust in 1981.
