Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, William Bushby (c.1751 - 1830), by Thomas Hazlehurst (Liverpool c.1740 - c.1821). c.1793. Oval.Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, in a vivid blue double-breasted coat and white bow tie. Brown eyes, pink face midelled with blue stipple, powdered wig, aged about 35. Sky background. Inscribed: William Bushby of Kirkmichael, Dumfries and 14 Great Cumberland Place, London 1751-1830.
