Summary
Jar and cover, porcelain, painted in gold over a powder-blue ground. Baluster-shaped vase painted with a landscape in gold. Low domed cover surmounted with a Dog of Fo. Jingdezhen, China, c.1740-60.

Puchased by William Wiggett Chute, 'April 20, 1846 Four Indian Jars Mazarine blue, £18.0s.0d.'. By descent to Sir Charles Chute and bequested to the National Trust with The Vyne House and Estate in 1956.
