Summary
Group representing 'Autumn' from the Seasons, hard-paste porcelain, painted in enamels and gilt. Model designed by Michel-Victor Acier with the assistance of Johann Carl Schoenheit in October 1778. A seated boy takes grape bunches out of a pannier or basket, whilst a standing girl wearing an apron serves him a cup of wine. Marks: crossed swords in blue, incised with the model number 'F92' and painter's cipher. Pendant to NT 718463. Meissen, Germany, c. 1840-1880.
Provenance
Possibly one of the 'four Dresden figures' purchased by William Wiggett Chute on 8 August, 1846 for £13.0s.0d. By descent to Sir Charles Chute and given to the National Trust in 1956 through the bequest of The Vyne House and Estate.

Marks - crossed swords in blue, and various incised enamel marks.
